Out of town pool report #11 - POTUS on Trump's "unified Reich" remark

At the first fundraiser in Boston, POTUS addressed Trump's post on Truth Social on a "unified Reich"

POTUS: "And yesterday, his campaign posted online about if he wins it'll be a unified Reich – like the third Reich. This is the same guy that uses Hitler's language, not America's. It's no surprise that when he, about four months ago, he talked about – I think maybe a little longer - that Hitler did some quote some good things."

Out of town pool report #12 - More quotes from first fundraiser

POTUS addressed a fundraiser at Haddon Hall in Boston

Here are highlights - please double check against official transcript.

On being in Boston: "I'm a Delaware guy but there's something special about this city."

"Trump and the MAGA Republicans are in disarray. It's clear when he lost in 2020 something snapped in this guy. I mean, really, there's something different. He just can't accept the fact that he lost."

"The threat that Trump poses is greater in the second term than it was in the first."

"He's only obsessed with one thing about losing in 2020. It unhinged him. I meant it. The guy's a little unhinged."

"And yesterday, his campaign posted online about if he wins it'll be a unified Reich – like the third Reich. This is the same guy that uses Hitler's language, not America's. It's no surprise that when he, about four months ago, he talked about – I think maybe a little longer - that Hitler did some quote some good things."

"Trump says if he loses again in November there be a blood bath."

"It's clear that all the followers auditioning to be his vice president, they're all singing the same - trying to pass the same litmus test."

"He's bragging he's the reason for Roe vs Wade was overturned."

"Trump isn't running to lead America. He's running on revenge. He really is."

He, several times, pointed to Trump's comments in Time magazine, including that he wanted to "monitor women's pregnancies, prosecute those who violate the bans."

"This isn't about my winning. It's about making sure he doesn't."

He told the crowd "I need you. I need you."

He noted that "in 2020 I wasn't going to run again," talking about son Beau's death. Then he told the story he's told before about Trump's response to the Charlottesville riots and how that prompted him to run.

He also repeated the story about how foreign leaders tell him that Trump can't win. He said they tell him "my democracy is at stake."

POTUS is speaking in an ornate living room/dining room combo. It is a long room. There is a lot of modern art in the room. Appears to be around 50 people present.

POTUS took the stage at 7:53 pm to a standing ovation after Gov. Healy made introductory remarks.

Here are highlights. (As always please check official transcript):

"Last night, Donald Trump posted on his official social media account, a video talking about the America he would create if he wins, and includes the following quote, a unified Reich. A unified Reich. unquote. A unified Reich. That's not the language of American presidents. That's not the language of any Americans. It's the language of Hitler's Germany, talking about the day when Trump finally took that video down and we got some lame excuses that a staffer did it. And we already know Trump personally controls his social media account, because he brags so much about control. It's not the first time Trump has gone down this road."

"Folks, I can't be can't be any clearer - the threat Trump poses is graver the second time around."

"He can't accept the fact that he lost. It's literally driving him crazy."

"Not only is he obsessed with losing 2020 he's clearly become unhinged."

"He's a threat to the planet. Trump just told people that if they give him a million dollars, he'll give them whatever they want."

"Folks we've come a long way from Trump telling us in 2016 how he didn't need anybody's money. He had plenty himself. He's so desperate he's selling bibles and gold shoes."

"Trump isn't running to lead America. He's running for revenge."

Pool was removed at 8:04 pm as Yo-Yo Ma was playing.
