In-town pool report #1--gather for departure

The in-town travel is gathering for POTUS' departure from the White House for Wilmington. POTUS is motorcading to Fort McNair because the state dinner tent is still on the South Lawn.

In-town pool report #2--departure for Fort McNair

Motorcade departed at 12:58 pm for Fort McNair. Pooler did not see POTUS.

NSC spokesman John Kirby was spotted earlier with his bags getting into one of the vans.

And a clarification on pool report #1: It's wasn't a tent for the state dinner but a much nicer temporary pavilion with glass walls.

Traveling with the President and the First Lady via motorcade en route to Fort Lesley J. McNair:

In-town pool report #4--arrival at Fort McNair

Motorcade arrived at Fort McNair landing zone at 1:09 pm after an uneventful ride through DC. No protestors spotted outside the White House or on the route.

Pool spotted POTUS and FLOTUS walk to Marine One and board at 1:10 pm. POTUS did not stop for questions.

Marine One lifted off at 1:16 pm.

In-town pool has handed off to out of town pool.

WH travel pool 1 — arrival in Delaware

The president's helicopter touched down on runway at Delaware Air National Guard base in New Castle at 1407.

He stepped out the craft, accompanied by the first lady, greeted officers of the Air National Guard base, and stepped into his waiting Suburban.

At 1414 the motorcade is on the move.

WH travel pool report 2 — POTUS at his residence

The motorcade completed the six-mile trip to the president's home in nine minutes along closed off roads, arriving at the president's home at 1424.

Pool is now en route to the press hotel.
