POTUS out of town pool report #1 - Church Good morning all. POTUS left his Wilmington home via motorcade at 7:29 a.m. POTUS and FLOTUS walked into St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church at 7:32 a.m. It remains chilly and rainy in Wilmington. FLOTUS wore a trench coat. POTUS wore a suit. Pool is waiting outside the church. (Pool covid tested around at 5 a.m. for a 5:45 a.m. call time.) |

POTUS out of town pool report #2 - departing church POTUS and FLOTUS walked out of church services at 8:13 a.m. Taking advantage of a break in the rain they chatted with fellow church goers. POTUS was with Beau's son Hunter, one of his grandchildren. First daughter Ashley Biden was also seen outside the church with the family. POTUS, FLOTUS and the younger Hunter and Ashley walked outside toward the rear of the church around 8:18 a.m. where Beau's grave is located. Pool did not have a view of Beau's gravesite. At 8:25 am pool joined the motorcade. We are rolling back to Biden's Wilmington home. |

POTUS out of town pool report #4 - en route to park POTUS left his Wilmington home around 10:10 a.m. and is traveling via motorcade to Veterans Memorial Park near the Delaware Memorial Bridge where he is set to give remarks at an annual Memorial Day Service. The park is in New Castle, Del. POTUS remarks are supposed to start around 10:30 a.m. The remarks will be live-streamed here |

POTUS out of town pool report #5 - memorial service starting POTUS arrived at a park near the Delaware Memorial Bridge around 10:20 a.m. Pool watched POTUS walk to a tent at 10:26 am. Audience members stood and clapped when he arrived. It's lightly raining and chilly, but members of the audience are protected by the white tent. There are about 100 people in the audience. POTUS stood with his right hand on his heart as a local choir sang the Star Spangled Banner. He was facing a memorial wall inscribed with the names of soldiers from Delaware and New Jersey who died in WWII and Korea. POTUS stood with Sen. Tom Carper, along with Del. Gov. John Carney. As POTUS arrived, several Trump supporters stood with signs near the entrance to the park. Several signs read "Trump 2024" and at least one displayed a middle finger to the motorcade. POTUS out of town pool report #6 - rolling back home The memorial event wrapped at 11:49 a.m. It lasted about one hour and 20 minutes. It rained lightly for most of the event. The program included remarks from POTUS, Gov. Carney and Sen. Carper, who led the entire audience in reciting the preamble of the U.S. Constitution. POTUS made a reference in his remarks to his upcoming summit with Putin and his plans to bring up human rights at that meeting. He also referenced his recent call with Xi, saying he discussed human rights. POTUS was seated next to his grandson Hunter (not to be confused with his son Hunter.) Young Hunter recently has his first shot of the vaccine, POTUS said. POTUS stood at the end of the event and mouthed the words to "God Bless America" - sung by a local choir. At 11:54 a.m the motorcade started rolling to POTUS's home in Wilmington. |

POTUS out of town pool report #7 - lid POTUS arrived at his Wilmington home at 12:08 p.m. The WH called a travel/photo lid at 12:09 p.m. Additional color from the memorial: It ended with a 21 gun salute - it was done with seven service members firing three times. After that, a service member played Taps. |
