Good morning.

The pool has gathered outside the president's house in Wilmington, Delaware. The president will depart for DANG en route to Scranton in a little more than an hour.

The president boarded the plane at 11:32 am with his granddaughter Natalie walking ahead of him.

Out-of-town pool report #5

Air Force One was wheels down at the Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport at 12:11 pm.

The president got down the stairs at 12:20 pm wearing his signature aviator glasses, a dark navy-blue suit, pin striped shirt and no tie. His granddaughter, Natalie, followed behind him. He stopped to chat with a few people assembled to greet him, including a small two small girls.

The president got into the beast at 12:29 pm. He did not stop to take questions from the pool.

The motorcade will be shortly en route to a GOTV campaign event with the Carpenters Local 445.

The motorcade arrived at Carpenters Local 445 at 12:48 pm, after a 10-minute ride.

People stood outside their homes along the way waving at the motorcade. Many were holding Harris signs. There were also a couple of people holding Trump signs.

We are holding in a room with about 100 union members.

The president returned to his hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania, three days before Election Day, to participate in a GOTV event.

He stopped by the Carpenters Local 445 meeting hall, a venue he'd stopped by on Election Day 2020 and which is 10 blocks from where he was born in south Scranton. He also visited the site twice as a sitting president.

He stated his speech at 1:40 and spoke for about 10 minutes.

Biden said he was glad to be home. "Scranton is coming back" he said.

He said he brought his granddaughter , Natalie, with him because she'd heard him talk about the place so much that she wanted to see it.

He talked about his and VP Harris' support of unions

"A lot of politicians have trouble saying the word union," he said. "But I am not one of them."

He said he was glad to join the picket line and said VP Harris has done it too, and feels the same way about unions.

One of his proudest accomplishments as president was the work he and Harris did to protect union pensions, he said.

"I am here to talk about what's at stake…," saying Trump wants to get rid of Affordable Care Act and the department of education.

Biden said he not only signed the CHIPS act, "I wrote that sucker" talking about the legislation.

He talked about Trump calling those who served in wars "as suckers and losers" and about Trump tax cuts contributing to the biggest deficit.

He said he was asking for their vote for "Kamala and Tim" — not for him but for themselves, for their "own families."

"Talk to your friends and family" he said to encourage them to vote.

He wouldn't have picked Harris if she didn't have to same view on uplifting working class people, he said.

"Go back to people you knew," to urge them to vote, adding "It's not about personality."

"Let's remember who we are. We're good, decent, honorable people where we believe in honesty, decency. We believe in character," he said.

After the speech, Biden shook hands and posed for photos with people assembled.

The motorcade is rolling at 2:15 pm, headed to another campaign event 10 minutes away.

The president walked into by the AFSCME labor hall at 2:31 pm with a chocolate Krispy Kreme donut in his mouth.

He is posing for photos after singing along "Happy Birthday" to a union member called Paula.

Want to highlight one quote from Biden's earlier stop where he was talking about GOP wanting to repeal ACA, cut social security to cut taxes for the wealthy: "These are the kinds of guys you like to smack in the ass."

The motorcade was rolling at 5 pm. We're at the St. Joseph on the Brandywine Roman Catholic Church The pool noticed the president walk in to the church at 5:06 pm.

The motorcade left the church at 5:50 pm and reached Biden's residence at 5:56 pm. The pool is holding.
