Pool Report Number 1 - Nov. 21 Roosevelt Room Good morning, Biden held a meeting in the Roosevelt Room. Off the top, Biden said that he hoped the hostages' home would be brought home "very soon." "Very close, very close," he said—while declining to get into details. At point he noted that, "nothing is done until it's done." At the end of the spray, Biden when pressed on hostages said: "There will be plenty of time to talk about the hostages" as the White House moved reporters out of the room. The White House shared the following: Following up on his related APEC engagements, the President is holding a meeting to accelerate efforts to counter the flow of fentanyl into the United States. White House Pool Report Number 2—Roosevelt Room Spray Good morning, Below are President Biden's fuller remarks from the Roosevelt Room spray this morning. On hostages Biden said: "We're now very close, very close….bring hostages home very soon. But I don't want to get into the detail…. nothing is done until it's done." On Fentanyl Biden said: "Last week in San Francisco, we made important progress of both China and Mexico to strengthen our efforts to address this scourge. During my meeting with President Xi, we took a critical step of resuming counter narcotics cooperation between our two countries. One important thing we agreed upon." |

Pool Report Number 3 — Biden Radio Hits Good afternoon, The White House passed the following along at 2:53 p.m.: "Today, President Biden taped three interviews with Black and Latino radio shows: Radio La Campesina; Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell; and The Rickey Smiley Morning Show. Combined, these interviews will reach 14 million Americans nationwide, across 140 markets. During the interviews, the President discussed his Bidenomics agenda and how it's benefiting Black and Latino families across the country with near record low unemployment, historic business ownership and job creation. The President also highlighted progress in lowering gas and grocery prices ahead of the holidays. The interviews will air over the next several days." |

There has been no official update on when Biden might depart the White House. Notably, the Marine who was posted up outside of the Oval Office, this afternoon is now gone. |

After getting some questions from reporters: I filed a comment request to a White House official on where Mr. Biden will be staying in Nantucket and if he’ll be paying for the rental—I have not received a comment back yet. |

Out of Town Pool Report #1 - JBA Good evening from a windy and rain-soaked Joint Base Andrews. President Biden's motorcade arrived at JBA at 6:50 p.m. ET. The president, wearing a ballcap, exited his vehicle and then walked over to Air Force One with First Lady Jill Biden. The President did not stop to speak to the pool, who shouted questions on the potential hostage deal. He boarded the aircraft at 6:51 p.m. We are flying the smaller Air Force One today and will be wheels up for Nantucket shortly. Out of Town Pool Report #3 - Arrival and Lid President Biden's motorcade arrived near the vacation home where he and his family will be spending the Thanksgiving holiday at 8:28 p.m. ET after about a 10-minute drive. The White House says: "The First Family will stay at the home of their friend, David Rubenstein, as they have done previously." During the motorcade ride, the pool could see small groups of people standing outside in the dark bearing iPhones along the route, including two children who waved at the procession from outside the Nantucket Inn. The pool's bus broke off from the motorcade and a lid has been declared at 8:34 p.m. Good night. |
