Out of Town Pool Report #1

Good morning from Nantucket where it is a windy but sunny 35 degrees.

Our pool call time has now been pushed back to 3 pm. More to come.

Out of Town Pool Report #2 - 1:50 Call Time

pool time change, moved up to 1:50 PM

Out of Town Pool Report #3- Rolling

President Biden's motorcade was rolling from the house where he is staying at 2:49 pm. Pool did not see the president.

Out of Town Pool Report #4 - Motorcade arrives downtown

Motorcade arrived in downtown Nantucket at 3:08 pm.

People on the sidewalks held up their phones. A guy in a Stubby's hat gave a thumbs down as the motorcade passed.

note: On the way to the house a small group of protesters stood by the side of the road, some holding signs saying "Free Palestine" and one with a rainbow flag that said Peace. Motorcade took a different route to town and did not pass the protesters.

Out of Town Pool Report #5 - Shopping

at 3:15 pm -POTUS standing in front of a store called the Alice Walk - talking to his daughter Ashley and two other women unidentified . Did not answer shouted questions about whether he would *not* run for re-election.

3:17 pm he walked next door into a store called Atlantic.

Out of Town Pool Report #6 - more shopping

Jill Biden exited the Atlantic boutique at 3:19 and then went back in.

POTUS exited at 3:25 wearing sunglasses and a blue jacket and jeans. Crowded woo hoo and one person boos loudly.

Out of Town Pool Report #7a - Hostages questions

3:27 PM POTUS walks downtown, does not answer shouted questions about whether the American hostages would be released today

He walked past the Christmas tree in the middle of town and into Murray Toggery Shop with Jill Biden and family.

Out of Town Pool Report #8 - Murray Toggery

POTUS walked out of the Murray Toggery Shop at 3:54. he was not caring any packages, but he waved at the crowd across the street as people shouted to him. POTUS was also holding a baseball cap.

shortly before POTUS left the store, FLOTUS walked out and waved.

Naomi Biden was also spotted leaving the store and chatting with her husband Neal. Hunter Biden left a few minutes before POTUS and held baby Beau in his arms as he walked down Main Street.

At 3:54 POTUS popped into David Chase and exited. He then walked into Mitchell's Book Corner.

Out of Town Pool Report #9 - still strolling

at 4:04 POTUS left Mitchell's Book Corner and crossed the the street arm in arm with Maisy to enter the Nantucket Pharmacy (which also has a lunch and ice cream counter).

at 4:11 he walked out with what appeared to be a milkshake and crossed the street again. POTUS did not respond to a shouted question of "when will the hostages be released." He waved at people presse up against shop windows and at 4:15 walked into The Black Dog.

He exited 4:18 pm and waved some more, walking into another boutique - A Shore Thing. FLOTUS was in Polo Ralph Lauren, leaving at 4:22 PM and POTUS walked up.

Person on the sidewalk shouted "shame" and another shouted " armchair murderer" as Biden stood outside the Ralph Lauren shop.

Out of Town Pool Report #10 - hostages quote

At 4:47 POTUS left the last of several shops he entered and walked through more of downtown

to a q of when will the hostages be released

POTUS answered "hopefully we'll see something soon."

Other shops POTUS entered briefly: The Blue Beetle; Erin Hielle; and a certainty, couldn't see the name clearly - looks like Millie and Grace.

At 4:51 POTUS entered St. Mary, Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church

Pool is holding.

Out of Town Pool Report #12 - POTUS briefed on hostages info

Pool is still holding outside the church. Passing on this from White House NSC

Sending another update here attributable to NSC spox Adrienne Watson:

• The President had been briefed throughout the morning on the state of the hostage deal implementation.

• At 10:00, he spoke directly with the Amir of Qatar and the Qatari Prime Minister on potential holdups to the deal and mechanisms to resolve them.

• Following the President's call, senior US officials were in regular contact with the Israelis, Qataris, and Egyptians to overcome hurdles to implementation. The President was briefed throughout the day.

• At 1:30, WH officials learned from the Qataris that deal was back on and ICRC was moving to collect the hostages. The President was also updated on the latest development.

Out of Town Pool Report #13 - Leaving church

at 6 pm POTUS left St. Mary Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church and entered the SUV.

earlier FLOTUS walked past the pool accompanied by her detail as well as Peter and Naomi at 4:56 while POTUS was in church. Asked how shopping was she said "Great."

Out of Town Pool Report #14 - POTUS to house/ Lid

Potus was dropped off at the house where he was staying at apx 6:14 pm.

Lid was called at 6:28.
