Pool has gathered at the Palm Room doors for POTUS's final turkey pardoning, scheduled for 11am and open to pre-credentialed media. The daily guidance says POTUS will depart the White House at 3.25pm. |

WH in-town pool report #2/ Big crowd for turkey pardoning In bright sunshine there are hundreds of people on white seats on the south lawn, and more standing behind them, awaiting the turkey pardoning. The presidential lectern and a stand with a 'Happy Thanksgiving 2024' sign and fall foliage are set up outside the south portico. The Marine Band is playing tunes from the musical West Side Story. Out of town pool report #1 / JBA arrival + wheels up POTUS's motorcade arrived at JBA at 3:51 p.m. He stepped out of the Beast around 3:55 p.m. and saluted two greeters in front of AF1. He and the First Lady spoke to them briefly before boarding AF1 at 3:56 p.m. The President did not speak to the pool. We'll be wheels up for JFK shortly. Out of town pool report #4 / Motorcade to Coast Guard Sector New York Pool arrived to Coast Guard New York around 5:46 p.m. We did not see the President get out of the motorcade. The about 10-minute long ride was largely uneventful, but there were a few dozen people lined up along the road with their phones out as the motorcade passed. Later in the ride, there was also a small group of pro-Palestine protesters, shouting and waving a Palestine flag as the motorcade passed. The President and First Lady will soon deliver their remarks at a Friendsgiving event here at the Coast Guard Sector New York. |

Out of town pool report #6 / POTUS + FLOTUS Friendsgiving remarks During their remarks at the Friendsgiving event with Coast Guard Sector New York, the President and First Lady thanked the attendees for their service and sacrifice. POTUS highlighted the Coast Guard's efforts this year, including assisting in the aftermath of the bridge collapse in Baltimore and the rescue missions following recent hurricanes. At the start of his remarks, the President quipped: "By the way, kids can scream and cry and holler, we're Bidens, we're used to it." He and the First Lady both joked about the children making noise in the audience, eliciting rounds of laughs from the crowd. After a prayer, POTUS and FLOTUS joined the line of people serving food at the event, wearing gloves and black White House aprons. They are both serving roasted brussel sprouts and butternut squash. |

Out of town pool report #9 / Miller Field lift off Pool arrived at Miller Field around 7:30 p.m. after a quiet, uneventful motorcade ride. We did not see POTUS exit the motorcade. He and the First Lady boarded Marine One at 7:30 p.m. Your pool began loading into an Osprey but unloaded at 7:35 p.m. after an issue with the staff helicopter. Pool was told the helicopter would take staff to JFK and come back for pool. Marine One would go with staff. Pool raised concerns about being left behind from POTUS. Wrangler conveyed those concerns up the chain. The 13-members in the press pool were then allowed to load the Osprey at 7:44 p.m. We are now lifting back to JFK. Traveling with the President and the First Lady aboard Marine One en route to John F. They both waved to the press pool, but did not speak to the pool. The President and First Lady boarded AF1 at 8:12 p.m. We were holding at JFK for about 10 minutes for the rest of the staff to arrive. We will be wheels up for JBA shortly. |
