In-town pool #1 - holding for Rose Garden

Good afternoon from the White House where we're holding to go into the Rose Garden for POTUS remarks.

No word on why the delay...

In-town pool #2 - Rose Garden

Press entered Rose Garden at 3:35 pm. Still no update on exact speech time.

At 2:47 pm, some taller members of the press corps - looking through the windows at the top of the Palm Room doors - saw POTUS come in the Palm Room and turn into the Center Hall which runs along the first floor.

At 2:54 pm, again peering through the windows of the Palm Room doors, POTUS was spotted going back outside toward the Rose Garden.

In the Rose Garden there are no chairs set up for an audience. Just the lectern with the seal for POTUS to speak. Press is about 40 feet back behind a rope line.

In-town pool report #4 - remarks

POTUS entered the Rose Garden at 3:38 pm. He came out of the Oval wearing his aviators, which he took off for his remarks:

"Today, I have some good news to report from the Middle East."

"Tomorrow, at 4 am local time, fighting across the Lebanese Israeli border will end - will end. This is designed to be a permanent cessation of hostilities."

"Let me be clear, if Hezbollah or anyone else breaks the deal and pose a direct threat to Israel, then Israel retains the right to self defense consistent with international law, just like any country in facing a terrorist group pledged to that country's destruction."

"So now Hamas has a choice to make. Their only way out is to release the hostages, including American citizens."

"Over the coming days, the United States will make another push for Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, Israel and others to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza."

"Peace is possible."

He answered two questions at end as he walked back to Oval. He was hard to hear.

Asked if he'll get a ceasefire in Gaza: "I think so. I hope so. I'm praying."

Asked how it would different: "If you don't see that you shouldn't be reporting it. It's a lot different.

Out-of-town pool #1 - departure from White House

Motorcade departed the White House at 4:18 pm.

Pool caught a brief glimpse of POTUS getting into the Beast.

Motorcade is rolling to JBA.

Out-of-town pool #2 - JBA arrival

Motorcade arrived at JBA at 4:36 pm.

Drive was uneventful.

POTUS took a few questions from NBC's Tara Prindiville.

His first answer to a question on the hostages was not audible. Will try to get better audio.

Asked how he was feeling after today: "Good."

Ask if President-elect Trump started a trade war: "No comment on that."

He and FLOTUS boarded at 4:41 pm. Also spotted on tarmac was Hunter Biden.

POTUS is traveling on the smaller plane. We will be wheels up shortly. Flight time to Nantucket is approximately 1 hour 5 minutes.

Out-of-town pool report #3 - Nantucket arrival

Air Force One was wheels down Nantucket at 5:51 pm. POTUS and FLOTUS disembarked at 6:01 pm.

They were followed by Hunter, Melissa and Baby Beau and Ashley Biden.

It is drizzling and damp. The motorcade is rolling at 6:05 pm.

Out-of-town pool report #4 - lid

The pool van got separated from the main motorcade during the drive.

At 6:18 pm, the pool was informed POTUS was at his RON but pool did not see where that is.

At 6:28 pm a lid was called.
