Travel Pool Report #1 - New call time

Good morning from Nantucket. Our call time has been moved to 3 p.m. I will keep you posted on any additional updates beyond that.

Travel Pool Report #2 - Motorcade rolling

Greetings. The pool has been swept and we have been holding in a bus near the Nantucket compound where President Biden has been spending the Thanksgiving holiday.

The motorcade is now rolling through the darkness at 4:50 p.m.

Travel Pool Report #3 - Church

President Biden's motorcade pulled up near St. Mary, Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church in downtown Nantucket at 5:01 p.m. after an uneventful 10-minute drive.

The pool did not see president walk inside the church, where he is attending the Saturday night vigil Mass.

The pool is holding nearby. It's a cold, overcast night with a temperature of 40 degrees (but feels a lot colder).

Travel Pool Report #4 - Leaving Mass

President Biden emerged from St. Mary, Our Lady of the Isle Church at 5:51 p.m. This weekend is the start of the Advent season.

Just before Biden exited the church, the pool spotted the president's son, Hunter Biden, who was carrying his young son, Beau. The president's daughter, Ashley Biden, also departed the church.

The motorcade is now rolling at 5:54 p.m.

Travel Pool Report #5 - Airport

President Biden's motorcade arrived at Nantucket Memorial Airport at 6:02 p.m. after a short drive from the downtown. A light snow was whipping across the airport tarmac.

Biden emerged from his armored vehicle wearing baseball cap at 6:07 p.m. and greeted a contingent of local law enforcement. The president's son Hunter, grandson Beau, daughter Ashley boarded. The president and First Lady Jill Biden then greeted a couple who oversee the cooking of the Thanksgiving dinner for USSS members. They boarded at 6:11 p.m.

We will be wheels up for Joint Base Andrews shortly. We are taking the smaller Air Force One.

Travel Pool #6 - JBA

Air Force One touched down at Joint Base Andrews at 7:31 p.m. after a flight of more than an hour. We were wheels up at 6:23 p.m. There were no visitors to the press section of the aircraft.

President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden walked down the staircase from the aircraft at 7:41 p.m. They were greeted by Colonel Angela Ochoa, Commander, 89th Airlift Wing and her spouse, Mr. Raul Ochoa. The president did not speak to reporters before he and the First Lady boarded the Beast.

Ashley Biden departed the aircraft shortly before her parents.

We are motorcading back to the White House. We are now rolling at 7:44 p.m.

Short update: The name of the restauranteur couple the President and First Lady greeted on the tarmac in Nantucket was Bill and Kim Puder. The president presented them with a large book but it was hard to make out the details in the darkness.

Travel Pool Report #7 - White House Arrival/Lid

President Biden's motorcade arrived back at the White House at 8:04 p.m. after an uneventful 20-minute ride into Washington. We could not see the president enter the White House in the darkness.

The White House is now adorned with holiday lights and decorations. Christmas wreathes are displayed along the Colonade.

A lid was declared at 8:06 p.m.
