In Town Pool Report #1 - Morning Details

Good morning.

From the White House:

Later this morning, President Biden and Vice President Harris will meet with their national security teams to receive a situation update and give direction on next steps. The President and Vice President will then speak with Prime Minister Netanyahu to discuss our support for Israel and our efforts coordinated with partners and allies to defend Israel and innocent people against terrorism and to deter other hostile actors from exploiting this attack on Israel.

The White House has called a lunch lid until 12:40 PM.

FYI that the pool and other press have not been called yet to gather for POTUS' remarks on Israel. Pool has been told to stand by for the call to gather.

From the White House:

President Biden and Vice President Harris just concluded a call with Prime Minister Netanyahu to discuss our support for Israel. We will provide a readout of the call soon.

The press briefing will begin after the President's remarks.

Pool and additional press were called to gather for the president's remarks at 2:01 PM

Again, the remarks will be on White House live.

In Town Pool Report #7 - 2 Minutes

Pool is assembled in the State Dining room where the podium is set up before the Lincoln portrait. The White House called a two minute warning at 2:21 PM

In Town Pool Report #8 - Remarks conclude, no questions

POTUS entered the State Dining Room at 2:23 PM with Vice President Harris and Secretary Blinken.

He spoke for about ten minutes and concluded at 2:34 PM. He left without responding to shouted questions.

In Town Pool Report #11 - gathering for Fire Prevention Remarks

The press briefing started at 2:50 PM.

At 3:31 PM Pool was called to gather for the president's virtual remarks to the U.S. Fire Administrator's Summit on Fire Prevention & Control.

A reminder that these remarks will be on White House Live.

In Town Pool Report #12 - two Minutes

The White House gave a two minute warning at

3:42 PM for the remarks to the Fire administrator's summit.

One note: I skipped from 9 to 11 in my numbering so there is no pool report 10. Apologies for any confusion.

In Town Pool Report #13 - Remarks end

The president's virtual remarks in South Court Auditorium began at 3:48 PM and ended at 3:57 PM.

He didn't respond to shouted questions.
