Out-of-town pool report #1

POTUS's motorcade arrived at Gordons Pond in Rehoboth Beach at 10:27 a.m.

POTUS (and FLOTUS) boarded Marine One at 10:29 a.m. without coming over to speak to reporters, who were positioned too far away to shout questions.

The chopper lifted off for Fort McNair in D.C. at 10:33 a.m. It's about 50 degrees and windy here in Rehoboth.

In-town pool report #1 - POTUS lands at Fort McNair

Marine One touched down at 11:27 am ET at Fort McNair.

POTUS stepped off Marine One at 11:30am ET. He turned around and grabbed FLOTUS' hand as she followed down the steps. POTUS saluted the greeter (name copied below) before walking across the field to the Beast.

Pool was pre-positioned far away but POTUS did not respond to shouting press. He climbed in the Beast at 11:31 am ET. We're rolling at 11:33 am ET.

In-town pool report #9 - Bidenomics / Tech Hubs event

POTUS entered the South Court Auditorium at 3:09 pm.

He stood at the lectern against a "Bidenomics" backdrop, before turning to Mark Anthony Thomas, President & CEO of the Greater Baltimore Committee, to introduce him.

He was joined by Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and NEC Director Lael Brainard.

In-town pool report #10 - event ends / question on hostages

POTUS stepped back to the lectern at 3:11 pm. He cleared his throat and apologized, noting he "had a little bit of a cold."

He announced 31 tech hubs across the country, which will be able to compete for up to $75m each to scale up their work.

He says the tech hubs bring together private industry, higher education, state, local governments, tribes and organized labor. He gave examples of a tech in Wisconsin to focus on technology that supports personalized medicine by testing treatments and therapies specifically tailored for patients' genetic codes and one in upstate New York on training for the semiconductor industry.

He concluded his remarks at 3:17. He responded to a question about his conversation with the pope, saying the two "are on the same page." Pope

On the question of whether the US would support a hostages for ceasefire deal, POTUS said: "we should have those hostages released and then we can talk."

He exited at 3:18 pm.

In-town pool report #11 - More from event

At the conclusion of POTUS' remarks, he apologized for having to leave the event so he could go to the Situation Room.

On the first question about his conversation with the Pope -- POTUS said the Pope was very, very interested in what the US was doing to deal with some of the crises in Israel, particularly this time around. He said he told the Pope what the US was doing to provide assistance to Israel, and the Pope was "across the board supportive."
