In town pool report #2: Apology to Indian nations

POTUS emerged from the Oval Office at 15:49 on a crisp fall afternoon. POTUS jogged the first paces along the path

He popped his Aviators on and then changed direction to the pool and jogged towards us.

He said he was headed west on trip that 'should have been made a long time ago' to make a 'formal apology' to the Indian nations for the way their children had been treated.

Then he headed smartly to Marine One. Shouted questions about Middle East were not answered

Fuller quotes to follow.

Wheels up 15:55.

President Biden disembarked Air Force One at 5:23 p.m. and greeted the first group of greeters. He was followed off the plane by Sec. Haaland and other individuals, some of whom are in traditional Native American dress.

Biden mingled on the tarmac with his guests and then posed for a group photo. The president was applauded. He gave the youngster another side hug.

Biden boarded his black SUV at 5:29 p.m.
