This progress is no accident – and it is most certainly not because Congressional Republicans played a constructive role.

The Biden-Harris Administration took executive action to secure our border (Congressional Republicans, meanwhile, blocked congressional action on the border); the President and Vice President funded law enforcement through the American Rescue Plan – keeping cops on the beat (No Congressional Republicans – none – voted for the bill); the President and Vice President passed the Inflation Reduction Act which included provisions to bring down costs, including for prescription drugs (not a single Congressional Republican voted for the bill).

There is more to do – but it was a good week.
