President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate one individual to serve in his administration:
The President intends to nominate Charles W. Grim of Oklahoma, to be Director of the Indian Health Service, Public Health Service for a four-year term. Dr. Grim currently serves as the Interim Director of the Indian Health Service for Public Health Service. He previously served as Area Director for the Oklahoma City Area Indian Health Service. He also served as the Director of the Office of Health Programs for the Phoenix Area Indian Health Service. He currently serves on the Department of Health and Human Services' Intradepartmental Council on Native American Affairs, the Minority Initiatives Steering Committee and the Tribal College and Universities Initiatives Committee. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma; he earned his D.D.S. from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry and his master's degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
