Press Release - Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush announced today that he has named two individuals to serve in his Administration:

The President has named David McCormick to be Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economic Affairs. Dr. McCormick recently served as the Under Secretary of Commerce for Industry and Security at the Department of Commerce. Prior to this, he served as the President of Ariba, Inc. and the President and CEO of FreeMarkets, Inc. Earlier in his career, he served as a consultant for McKinsey & Company. Dr. McCormick received his bachelor's degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and received his PhD from Princeton University.

The President has named Jennifer Christie to be Special Assistant to the President for Presidential Personnel. Ms. Christie recently served as Associate Director of the Office of Presidential Personnel. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her master's degree from George Washington University.
