President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate one individual to serve in his Administration.
The President intends to nominate Michele M. Leonhart, of California, to be Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration. Ms. Leonhart currently serves as Deputy and Acting Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration. Prior to this, she served as Special Agent in Charge of the Los Angeles Field Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration. Earlier in her career, she served as Special Agent in charge of the San Francisco Field Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration. She received her bachelor's degree from Bemidji State University.
