President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate two individuals and appoint four individuals to serve in his Administration:
The President intends to nominate Robert B. Eley, of Mississippi, to be Commissioner of the Mississippi River Commission (Engineer), for a nine-year term beginning 11/15/08.
The President intends to nominate Dave Heineman, of Nebraska, to be a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation (CEO of a State), for the remainder of a six-year term expiring 12/10/11.
The President intends to appoint the following individuals to be United States Commissioners of the United States Section of the Pacific Salmon Commission:
David Bedford, of Alaska, (Governor of Alaska, State Representative), for the remainder of a four-year term expiring 01/05/10;
Jeffrey P. Koenings, of Washington, (Washington/Oregon Representative), for the remainder of a four-year term expiring 01/05/12;
Onley Patt, Jr., of Oregon, (Tribal Representative), for the remainder of a four-year term expiring 01/05/12;
Gregory Schildwachter, of Georgia, (United States Government Representative), for the remainder of a four-year term expiring 01/05/10.
