President George W. Bush today announced that he has named one individual to serve in his Administration.
The President has named Judith A. Ansley to be Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor. Ms. Ansley previously served as Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for Regional Affairs at the National Security Council. Prior to this, she served as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for European Affairs. Before joining the NSC, Ms. Ansley worked on a wide range of foreign policy, defense, and intelligence issues for over 20 years in various positions in the U.S. Senate. Ms. Ansley received her bachelor's degree from Tufts University and her master's degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
