Press Release - President Bush Announces Intention to Nominate Ambassador to Czech Republic

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate Craig Stapleton to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Czech Republic.

"The U.S. enjoys close relations with the Czech Republic. Craig Stapleton has worked extensively in European business affairs and I know he will be a strong representative of the United States," said President Bush.

Stapleton has served as President of Marsh and McLennan Real Estate Advisors, Inc., since 1982. He served on the Board of Directors of the U.S. Peace Corps under President George H. W. Bush. A resident of Greenwich, Connecticut, he is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard University Business School.
