President Donald J. Trump announced his intention to nominate the following individuals to be Members of the National Council on the Humanities for the remainder of six-year terms:
- Russell A. Berman of California, term expiring January 26, 2020
- William English of the District of Columbia, term expiring January 26, 2024
- Marjorie Fisher Furman of Michigan, term expiring January 26, 2022
- John Fonte of Virginia, term expiring January 26, 2020
- Claire Griffin of Washington, term expiring January 16, 2022
- Joyce Malcolm of Virginia, term expiring January 26, 2020
- Adair Margo of Texas, term expiring January 26, 2022
- Matthew Rose of Iowa, term expiring January 26, 2024
- William Schneider, Jr., of Colorado, term expiring January 26, 2020
- Noel Valis of Connecticut, term expiring January 26, 2020
- Jean M. Yarbrough of Maine, term expiring January 26, 2022
