Press Release - President Obama to Honor World Series Champion New York Yankees at The White House

WASHINGTON -- On Monday, April 26, President Obama will welcome the World Series Champion New York Yankees to the White House to honor their 2009 season. Appearing at this event with the team will be Yankees coaches and staff. Prior to visiting the White House, the 2009 Yankees along with coaches, manager Joe Girardi, and team executives will spend time with U.S. troops and their families at Walter Reed and the Malone House. The team will bring the 2009 World Series trophy on all stops.
