Press Release - President Obama Nominates Steven O'Donnell as U.S. Marshal for the District of Rhode Island
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, President Obama announced that he has nominated Steven O'Donnell to serve as United States Marshal for the District of Rhode Island.
"Throughout his distinguished career, Steven O'Donnell has served his country with great courage and commitment," said President Obama. "It is my honor to nominate him to continue protecting the American people as a United States Marshal."

Steven O'Donnell currently teaches courses on organized crime, criminal justice, and undercover operations at Roger Williams University and Salve Regina University. He has over 25 years of law enforcement experience, including 22 years with the Rhode Island State Police Department, where he served as Deputy Superintendent and Chief of Field Operations, Field Operations Officer, and Detective Commander. He received his BS from the University of New Haven and his MS from Salve Regina University. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
