Washington, DC--Second Lady Karen Pence today announced the appointment of Jana Toner, Deputy Assistant to the President and Chief of Staff to the Second Lady. Toner is an experienced leader in personnel, communications, and management. She joins the Office of the Second Lady after most recently serving as the Associate Director in the Office of Presidential Personnel and the White House Liaison for the U.S. Department of Education. Toner also served in the Administration of President George W. Bush.
"I am pleased to welcome Jana Toner to the Office of the Second Lady," said Mrs. Karen Pence. "Jana is a highly-experienced professional who possesses dynamic leadership skills, and I am confident that she will continue to serve with great dedication and integrity."

Kristan King Nevins recently departed as the Second Lady's Chief of Staff to lead the office of Representative Will Hurd of Texas. Kristan, a Texas native, has known Representative Hill for almost two decades, starting at Texas A&M University and continuing with their service in the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
