The President spoke with President Lula of Brazil this morning to discuss issues of mutual interest and concern in the Americas. The President reaffirmed his commitment to long-standing United States relationships in the region and his desire to work in constructive partnership with Brazil and others throughout the hemisphere to help advance democracy, security, and prosperity for the people of the Americas. The President looks forward to seeing President Lula next month at the Pittsburgh G20 Summit and continuing to strengthen our partnership with Brazil.
