Earlier today, the Vice President spoke by phone with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, President Jalal Talabani, and Speaker Iyad al-Samarrai.
The Vice President contacted these leaders to discuss Iraq's upcoming March 7, 2010 elections. The Vice President encouraged them to continue to work to ensure that the electoral process is transparent, fair, and inclusive.
