Remarks During a Visit With Patients and Families at Children's National Hospital

The President. Can I make a brief statement?

Children's National Hospital President and Chief Executive Officer Michelle Riley-Brown. Absolutely, Mr. President.

The President. Folks, you know, this is a tough time to be here, but it's going to get better. We've been here Christmastime. We've been here as patients as well. And so keep the hope. These guys are going to take care of everything.

You've got a future President. There's a President right there.

[At this point, the President pointed to a child.]

Right? [Laughter]

The First Lady. [Laughter] Yes.

The President. You.

So, anyway, you're in our prayers. You're in our thoughts. And thank you for letting us join you. It's——

[A toddler showed the President a ball.]

——yes. [Inaudible] [Laughter]

[The President addressed a toddler in the audience.]

You want to say something? [Laughter]

The First Lady. Uh-oh. [Laughter]

[The President made a playful sound using the microphone.]

The President. Woo-woo-woo-woo-woo. [Laughter]
