WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders on Monday will travel to Lynchburg, Virginia, where he will speak at Liberty University's Convocation. The Democratic Party presidential candidate will hold a rally in Manassas later that night. Sanders will discuss a wide range of issues, including his forthcoming criminal justice reform legislation, getting big money out of politics and his college affordability plan.

Here is the itinerary:

Monday, September 14

10:30 a.m.

Liberty University Convocation, Liberty University, Vines Center, 1971 University Boulevard, Lynchburg

Manassas Rally, Prince William County Fairgrounds, 10624 Dumfries Road, Manassas

Information for the public: Gates open at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Admission is first come, first served. Tickets are not required, but an RSVP is strongly encouraged.

Members of the public are encouraged to carpool and take into consideration heavy traffic in the area when making their plans.

General Public Parking: Fair Grounds Parking Gate B on American Legion Drive off Dumfries Road, or Gate D on Godwin Drive. Parking is available starting at 5 p.m.
