To the Senate of the United States:
In compliance with the resolution of the Senate of the 18th instant, I herewith transmit a report * of the Secretary of State, which, together with the letter of His Britannic Majesty's charge d'affaires heretofore communicated, demanding the execution of the opinion delivered by the sovereign arbiter, contains all the information requested by the said resolution, omitting nothing that may enable the Senate to give the advice requested by my message of the 7th of December last, on the question of carrying into effect the opinion of the King of the Netherlands.
