The Administration continues to support S. 49 and H.R. 945 and would support the Volkmer amendment as a substitute to H.R. 4332, provided that its language is modified by the McCollum amendment, which includes the Craig amendment to section 924(e)(1), concerning mandatory sentencing, as published in the March 19th Congressional Record, and the Craig amendments, of a technical nature, as published in the Congressional Record of March 20th.
