Statement of Administration Policy: S. 1096 - Seminole Indians Judgment Funds Distribution

The Administration has no objection to House passage of S. 1096 as reported by the House Interior Committee. The Administration, however, urges that the final bill contain the fund distribution formula contained in the Senate-passed version. The Senate-passed bill provides for equitable distribution of the judgment funds based on historical tribal memberships.
