THE SUDDEN DEATH of Mayor Ernst Reuter of West Berlin is a great loss not only to the citizens of his city and country but also to the peoples of the free world. Mayor Reuter was a born leader. His was a rare combination of talents, including courage, intelligence, energy, and dedication to the cause of freedom. Liberty-loving people everywhere will mourn his passing and salute his memory.
