Statement by the Press Secretary on H.R. 251, H.R. 254, and H.R. 588

On Thursday, July 18, 2013, the President signed into law:

H.R. 251, the "South Utah Valley Electric Conveyance Act," which directs the Secretary of the Interior to convey all right, title, and interest of the United States of the fixtures and associated Federal land relating to the Strawberry Valley Electric Distribution System to the South Utah Valley Electric Service;

H.R. 254, the "Bonneville Unit Clean Hydropower Facilitation Act," which authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to facilitate the development of hydroelectric power on the Diamond Fork System of the Central Utah Project; and

H.R. 588, the "Vietnam Veterans Donor Acknowledgment Act of 2013," which extends the authority of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, Inc., to construct a visitor center at or near the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Federal land in the District of Columbia and authorizes the Fund to acknowledge donor contributions to the center.
