On Monday, April 5, 2004, the President signed into law:
H.R. 3926, the "Organ Donation and Recovery Improvement Act" which authorizes the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to make grants to: (1) help cover travel and other expenses for people who make living donations of organs; (2) increase public education about organ donation; and (3) conduct other organ donation activities; and
H.R. 4062, which makes temporary changes through September 30, 2004, to certain Small Business Administration (SBA) credit programs; (2) extends SBA's authority to collect fees for certain guaranteed loan programs to include loans approved on or before October 1, 2004; and (3) extends the authorization of certain other SBA programs until June 4, 2004.
