On Tuesday, August 3, 2010, the President signed into law:
H.R. 4861, which designates a facility of the United States Postal Service as the Steve Goodman Post Office Building;
H.R. 5051, which designates a facility of the United States Postal Service as the Zachary Smith Post Office Building;
H.R. 5099, which designates a facility of the United States Postal Service as the Michael C. Rothberg Post Office; and
S. 1789, the “Fair Sentencing Act of 2010,” which reduces the disparity in the amounts of powder cocaine and crack cocaine required for the imposition of mandatory minimum sentences; eliminates the mandatory minimum sentence for simple possession of crack cocaine; and increases monetary penalties for major drug traffickers.
