Statement by the Press Secretary on H.R. 584 and H.R. 680

On December 7, 2005, the President has signed into law:

H.R. 584, the "Department of the Interior Volunteer Recruitment Act of 2005", which allows the Department of the Interior to recruit volunteers to assist with activities of various agencies and offices of the Department.

H.R. 680, which authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to convey certain land held in trust for the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah to the City of Richfield, Utah.

H.R. 1101, which revokes a portion of a public land order that included a parcel of land in the 1964 creation of the Cibola National Wildlife Refuge in California.
