Statement by the Press Secretary on H.R. 972, the "Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2005"

On Tuesday, January 10, 2006, the President signed into law:
H.R. 972, the "Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2005," which provides authorities to enhance prevention and prosecution of trafficking in persons and to protect victims, and authorizes appropriations for Fiscal Years 2006 and 2007 for these programs.
