President Bush will welcome President Rudolf Schuster of the Slovak Republic to the White House on June 7. Slovakia aspires to join Euro-Atlantic institutions and has taken significant steps to reform its military, privatize its economy, and strengthen its democratic institutions. The meeting will reinforce the importance of democratic values and principles to the Euro-Atlantic community.
