Statement by the Press Secretary: President to Welcome Bahraini Crown Prince to White House

President Bush will welcome Bahraini Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa to the White House on October 25. The United States and Bahrain enjoy a dynamic and friendly relationship. Close cooperation between the United States and Bahrain remains a principal bulwark of security and prosperity in the Gulf region. The President met with the Amir of Bahrain on May 7 and looks forward to his meeting with Crown Prince Salman as an opportunity to further expand his dialogue with the Bahraini leadership.
