Under Prime Minister Berlusconi's leadership, Italy has provided vital assistance in building secure and prosperous societies in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Balkans. The President appreciates Prime Minister Berlusconi's deep commitment to spreading freedom and democracy around the world.
