On Wednesday, October 27, 2004, the President signed into law:
S. 1134, the "Economic Development Administration Reauthorization Act of 2004," which amends the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965 to reauthorize and amend the authorities of the Commerce Department to provide economic development assistance to distressed communities.
S. 1721, the "American Indian Probate Reform Act of 2004," which amends the Indian Land Consolidation Act to provide a means to reduce fractionation of individual Indian land interests; and establishes a uniform probate code for Indians.
