Statement by the Press Secretary on the Visit of His Majesty King Salman bin Abd alAziz of Saudi Arabia

President Obama will host Saudi King Salman bin Abd alAziz at the White House on Friday, September 4. The King's visit – his first to Washington since ascending the throne -- underscores the importance of the strategic partnership between the United States and Saudi Arabia. The President and the King will discuss a range of issues and focus on ways to further strengthen the bilateral partnership, including our joint security and counter-terrorism efforts. They also will discuss regional topics including the conflicts in Yemen and Syria, and steps to counter Iran's destabilizing activities.
