Statement by Tom Steyer on Sen. Bernie Sanders

(SAN FRANCISCO, October 2, 2019) — Today, on hearing the news of Sen. Bernie Sanders heart surgery, candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination Tom Steyer released the following statement,

"I'm wishing Senator Sanders a quick and easy recovery from his surgery and my thoughts are with his family while he recuperates. Senator Sanders has long been one of the toughest fighters in the Senate and I know he will fight through this as well. I look forward to seeing him back on the campaign trail."
