VP pool report #1 Departing JBA

Good afternoon, everyone. I'll be the print pool reporter as Vice President Vance and his family travel to Italy and India.

Marine Two landed at Joint Base Andrews at 4:52 p.m., roughly half an hour after Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni departed. The American and Italian flags were flying outside the terminal here today.

VP Vance, Second Lady Usha Vance and their children Ewan, Vivek and Mirabel exited Marine Two and the two youngest sprinted ahead, running up the steps of Air Force Two alone, wearing what appeared to be pajamas ahead of the overnight flight. Ewan followed close behind them while the vice president and second lady chatted with Air Force personnel as they approached the plane. The vice president gave a quick wave before boarding Air Force Two. We are due to depart shortly.
