VPOTUS Pool Report #3 Feb. 10 VPOTUS Vance's motorcade drove into the Elysee Palace for what was described as an informal working dinner at 8:26 pm Paris time. Someone shouted a quick question about his family and he said "They're great." He was greeted by a protocol officer and disappeared inside the palace. (Thanks to Tara Prindiville of NBC, who was in position to see and hear him.) One note: While the pool is staying at the Intercontinental, VPOTUS and his family are staying at the American ambassador's residence, a huge mansion famous because it was where Lindbergh stayed after flying across the Atlantic — and before he became central an earlier America First movement. Later was the headquarters of the Luftwaffe during the occupation of Paris. A look ahead: The Vice President is expected to address the AI summit Tuesday morning Paris time. He then goes back to the Palace for a more formal lunch and back to the American residence for bilaterals. Good night. |
