VP supplemental pool report #1 At 3:28 p.m. staff for the Vice President began to trickle into the Vice President's Ceremonial Office. At 3:47 p.m. White House chief of staff Jeff Zients came in and walked into a side room. He came back out at 3:50. At 3:52 the vice president and Jared Bernstein plus Bernstein's family came out for Bernstein's swearing in as chair of the Council of Economic Advisors. Vice President Harris congratulated a beaming Bernstein and then they took a photo with Bernstein and his family. The vice president and the newly minted chair left the room at 3:54 p.m. |

VP supplemental pool report #2 At 3:56 p.m. the family of Geeta Rao Gupta came in for Gupta's swearing in as Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women's Issues. At 3:59 p.m. White House deputy chief of staff Bruce Reed and Director of White House Gender Policy Council Jen Klein came in. They stood in the back, behind Gupta's family. At 4:06 p.m. Gupta, First Gentleman Doug Emhoff and Gupta's close family came in. The vice president swore in Gupta at 4:07. Harris congratulated the newly minted ambassador. They took a photo and the vice president ignored questions from the press as they walked out. |
