Travel pool report #3 — Harris takes the stage Apologies if some of this is double sending. Service remains nonexistent… VP Harris's motorcade was spotted arriving at the Ellipse at 7:27pm. Staffers put the VP's seal on the podium at 7:29pm, which is surrounded by what appears to be ballistics plexiglass. The National Anthem was performed at 7:36pm, which protesters to the south could be heard chanting throughout. VP took the stage at 7:38pm to raucous applause, and she began speaking shortly after. You can stream at the campaign's YouTube page: It's hard to get an estimate on just how many people are here but there are stands erected on the South side of the Ellipse with the crowd fanned out across park space back toward the monument… easily tens of thousands. Volunteers have been chucking cotton candy, t shirts, and light up bracelets to the crowd as it waited for Harris. Tktk |

The crowd south of the press one also broke out into chants of "USA" and "Kamala!"
