What They Are Reading in the States: Falling Prices Ahead of Thanksgiving

Across the country, Americans are seeing prices fall just in time for the holidays. Gas prices are down $1.70 from their peak, airfare is down 13% over the last year, and according to the American Farm Bureau, the cost of a Thanksgiving dinner fell this year.

From strengthening supply chains to lowering energy and health care costs to cracking down on junk fees, Bidenomics continues to bring relief to families.

According to the American Farm Bureau Federation, the average cost to feed 10 people a turkey dinner is $61.17 in 2023 — down 4.5% from last year, which set a record at $64.05.

The estimated cost of a Thanksgiving dinner for 10 people will be 4.5% lower than a year ago, according to an analysis released Wednesday by the American Farm Bureau Federation. The AFBF's analysis looks at the cost of Thanksgiving staples, such as turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, rolls with butter, peas, cranberries, a veggie tray, pumpkin pie with whipped cream, and coffee and milk.

U.S. drivers can expect the cheapest gas prices on Thanksgiving day since 2020.

The national average for gallon of regular gas was about $3.31 on Monday, 25 cents cheaper than a month ago and 36 cents lower than the same period in 2022, according to AAA.

Green Bay area gas prices have declined 6 cents in the last week, 18 cents in the last month and 43 cents since November 2022, per AAA data.

Arizona Republic:Arizona gas prices drop again
