Today, President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris announced the formation of the White House Gender Policy Council and the appointment of its Co-Chairs, Jennifer Klein and Julissa Reynoso. This announcement demonstrates the Biden-Harris administration's commitment to remedying structural gender disparities, and its dedication to fostering an equitable economic recovery after a recession that has disproportionately impacted women in the workforce. Klein and Reynoso, who've championed women's issues throughout their careers, are the dedicated and trusted leaders with the experience to effectively lead the Gender Policy Council.
