The Vice President expressed the United States' deep and enduring commitment to the U.S. partnership with Iraq under the U.S.-Iraq Strategic Framework Agreement. The discussion focused on regional developments and the shared U.S. and Iraqi interest in peace and security in the region. This meeting was the latest in a regular and intensive series of consultations between the United States and Iraq on issues of mutual strategic importance.
