Foreign Claims Settlement Commission of the United States Nomination of Ralph W. Emerson To Be a Member.

The President today announced that he will nominate Ralph W. Emerson, of Washington, D.C., to be a member of the Foreign Claims Settlement Commission for a term expiring in 1981.

Emerson is president and chairman of the board of Emersons, Ltd., general counsel and executive vice president of U.S. Bank Note, and an attorney with the Johnson, Tenn., firm of Emerson & Emerson. He has served as commissioner of commerce for the State of Tennessee and as a consultant to the U.S. House Small Business Committee.
